Many of us rely on garage doors every day for their convenience and security. As the largest moving mechanism in your house these have to be maintained regularly to be reliable and have a smooth quiet operation. A lot can be told about your garage door by the way it sounds while opening or closing. Lubrication and adjustments are necessary over the years for your door to provide trouble-free safe reliable operation.
Keeping your garage door maintained and functioning smoothly also affects the value of your home. Garage door(s) often take up as much as 30 to 40% of a home's front view meaning aesthetics are important. In fact, a good quality garage door can affect the resale value of a property as much as 1 to 4%.

Quality Service One Customer at a Time
"We had some issues with our barn door chain drive and balancing. Steve took a look at the doors and advised replacing the spring and installing a larger gear for the chain drive. The next day he arrived with a heavier spring and a bigger gear, installed them both, balanced it and now the 12x14' barn door opens with very little effort. Excellent service and a great price!"

All a residential garage doors needs is a half horsepower opener. The most important thing is that the door works properly and balances properly, as a garage door opener is only designed to control the motion of the door not lift the weight of the door (that's the job of the spring). In other words, a heavier duty garage door opener will not compensate for a poorly working door.
If the door is cycled five or more times per day then we recommend higher cycle springs to save you the inconvenience of having to replace broken springs every five to eight years.
Both the door and the weather-stripping can be adjusted so they work well together.
All garage door openers manufactured after 1985 do. If it’s older than that we can add a receiver to make it work.
